Now it is official: Wes Anderson’s new animation film ISLE OF DOGS will be open in the US cinemas on April 20, 2018. Rixfilm’s Angela Poschet organizes the shooting in London as production supervisor.

Great plans for 2016: Two new short films are in our pipeline. The first film will be a short animation for children made by writer/director Oleg Mints. Second project is “In einer Sekunde der Welt” by the award winning director Anja Struck based on the short story of Siegfried Lenz with the same name. This film is funded by the city of Nuremberg in collaboration with Filmbüro Franken e.V..
Congratulations to Ilker Catak for the Students Oscar. A former short of Ilker, ZEITRAUM”, which is produced by Rixfilm will be screened in November in Bavarian Television.
A long time since we published some news here. Actually we were very busy. Angela finished the shooting on “Solan & Ludvig II”. This week the movie “Frank” start in the German cinemas. “Frank” tells the story of “Frank Sidebottom” aka Chris Sievey, who was a friend and good colleague of us. For all of you, who never saw Chris acting without the Frank Sidebottom mask, we suggest our short film “Your furniture is revolting” - a funny small piece of animated comedy which we shot during the Clones Film Festival in Irleand in the earl 2000years.

“THE CHRISTMAS OF SOLAN & LUDVIG” tops the Norwegian box office. According to Box Office Mojo the film already made around USD 10m. Congratulations! Angela Poschet was Line Producer on the production.
Just shot: NCHTS SCHLAFEN DIE RATTEN DOCH by director Sophia Bierend based on a short story of the well-known german writer Wolfgang Borchert. The wonderful main actors have been Friedhelm Ptok and Alexandros Gehrckens.

The second edition of Frank Becher’s book “Kurzfilmproduktion” is published now. The handbook is be considered as reference guide for upcoming filmmakers who want to produce short films.

Good news from Turkey: The development of our first feature film SPÄTKAUF was funded by the german-turkish Co-development fund. Great! SPÄTKAUF is the debut film Ilker Catak and Johannes Duncker and will be co-porduced by Bulutfilm in Istanbul.
Two more films, we supported over the last years are in the pipeline as well: LOVELESS ZORITSA from Serbia (release march 20th) and HALIMA’S PATH by Arsen Ostojic starting the principal photography on march 1st.
New year - new projects: Angela Poschet is supporting Oslo based Qvisten Animation as Line Producer to set up the stop motion film “Solan and Ludvig”. The story is based on the well-known norwegian characters by Kjell Aukrusts; Producer is Maipo in Oslo.
The teaser for UBS’ new Homepage is online now. Concept was developped by Frank Becher / Rixfilm together with the multimedia specialist HQ, who was responsible for the graphics and animation, too.
Rixfilm developped several concepts for short corporate videos in commission of the multimedia company HQ in Wiesbaden. Clients for the videos are the most important banks of Switzerland.
Siggi Keynote is a new animated character, which we developped in commission of the software company Keynote SIGOS. It is part of a video documentation of Keynote SIGOS’ telecommunication conference hold in Nuremberg ervery year.
Rixfilm produces short animations for Keynote SIGOS as part of their annual User Conference video.

Anja Struck’s stop motion film “How to raise the moon” is finished and will be screened on some of the most important short film festivals e.g. the Filmfestival Dresden, Oberhausener Kurzfilmtage, and the Animation fstival in Annecy. Angela Poschet was DoP of the project.

“Salt and Vinegar” - a short film by Camern Fraser will be produced in early September. The film is a co-productin of Rixflim, CINEMANIAX! and Kolik.
“Halimas Path” ot major funding by the Croatian Audiovisual Center. 70% of financing is now in place.
"Das Sandmännchen – Abenteuer im Traumland will premiere on the International Animation Film Festival in Stuttgart. Angela Poschet was as DoP and Studio Manager one of the key members in the crew. The film was shot in a five month schedule in Babelsberg on 22 sets with 18 animators. Producer is Jan Bonath from Scopas Medien AG.
Angela Poschetis joining the team of “O Apostolo”, the first stereoscopic Stop Motion Film in Europe. This film “ full of terror, humor and fantasy” is produced by Artefacto from Santiago de Compostela where it is shot as well.
Rixfilm produces a short documentary for the Filmfestival Türkei/Deutschland about 15 years of Festival.

Halima’s Path gained great interest in Mannheim. It is now presented to the Croatian Film Fund for a basic financial funding.
Halima’s Path will be presented during the Mannheim Meetings - the co-production market of the Filmfestival Mannheim-Heidelberg. The project is also nominated for the Balkan Fund of the Thessaloniki Festival.
During the Sarajevo Film Festival we had a Kick off - Meeting for “Halima’s Path”. It will be a 4 countries co-production with MaximaFilms from Croatia as leading partner. Director will be Arsen Anton Ostojic, whose last film “No one’s Son” just was shortlisted for the European Film Awards.
Rixfilm starts business! The first projects already got the green light, others are prepared to be developped. Together with our partner company CINEMANIAX! in Nuernberg, Rixfilm will produce own films as well as projects in commission.
